Turkey does not care about any threat: Erdogan

Turkish President Rajab Tayeb Erdogan said, "Turkey does not make much of a threat to anybody's language." He said this while talking to journalists after giving the United States a threatening statement because of arresting Christian pundit Andrew Brunson.

Erdogan said, "Someone could not achieve anything by threatening us. We have shown greater solidarity with the United States and NATO. We were with them during the war in Korea. It is not right to consider the threat of such a humiliating language for Turkey where we have given NATO the highest. Erdogan told reporters in Ankara last Wednesday after US State Donald Trump's statement about Turkey surrounding the patriarch Andrew Brunson and the statement of the United States, after apologizing to me.

It is to be noted that American Christian pastor Andrew Brunson came to Turkey from the United States of North Carolina and lived there for more than two decades. He has been accused of interfering with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). In addition, he has been accused of maintaining his close relationship with the Faitullah-based Terrorist Organization (FTU). This organization has been accused by Ankara as the original planner of a failed coup in Turkey in 2016. Turkey has been under house arrest since July 21 after Brunson was detained for a long time in Turkey. The United States is communicating with Turkey repeatedly about its release.

As part of this, US President Donald Trump said on July 26, "Turkey may be subject to greater sanctions due to the detention of priest Andrew Brunson for a long time." Turkey's National Security Council said in a statement on July 30 that the United States threatened the country against our country. Disrespect and unacceptable

US sanctions on two ministers

The BBC has said the United States has banned two Turkish ministers. The United States took this step to complain that the country has detained a US priest for two years. The US authorities have described the allegations of involvement in terrorism against the priest as baseless. The controversial cleric is currently under house arrest in Turkey. Turkey's Foreign Minister Mervul Davutoglu said the US will respond to this hostile move. However, the Turkish people have already called for the closure of US military base in Turkey.

If the bases are really close, then security cooperation between these two NATO allies will be severely threatened. Since the 1974 Turkey campaign in northern Cyprus, there was not so much deterioration between these two countries.

Approval of delay of F-35 delivery

Apart from this, the Daily Sabah said that the United States Senate has approved the delay in providing Turkey with an F-35 warranty rather than delaying it. This approval was given in the Senate 87-10 votes. The US Senate announced on Wednesday that it would be approved to delay the supply of aircraft. Turkey's defense industry is playing an active role with the United States to build fifth-generation F-35 warplanes and the first two built fighter aircraft were handed over to Turkish officials in June.

The United States Senate had earlier initiated a plan to ban the sale of F-35 fighter aircraft to Turkey before purchasing S-400 missile technology from Russia and arresting US citizens. Source: .hurriyetdailynews
