Bangabandhu Satellite's experimental broadcasting started on Tuesday

Bangladesh's first space communications satellite Bangabandhu Satellite-1 (BS-1) on Tuesday started the experimental activity through broadcast of South Asian Football Federation (SAF) championship.

According to the official sources, on this occasion, the BS-1 monitoring agency Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) has completed all preparations.

BCSCC chairman said. Shahjahan Mahmud told BSS on Monday that they are ready to broadcast clear sports using Bangabandhu Satellite-1 through Bangladesh Television (BTV).

Terming this broadcast as "pre-trial" of commercial activities, he said, "After broadcasting the broadcast rights of this tournament, we will broadcast it on BTV after broadcasting a private satellite station."

After taking the satellite into space, all the tests have been successfully completed. Mahmud said, "Now the time has come for us to go. We will take a look at the activities of BS-1 through the next two weeks.

Responding to a question about the preparation of local satellite TV channels, he said that the BCSCL engineers are working to establish necessary equipment with them.

The chairman said, "For the Bangabandhu-1 satellite connection, it is necessary to set up some equipment from other satellites."
He said that this Satellite-based organization Thomas Alnina Space has not yet handed over the control of two ground stations to the BCSCL. The initials of these two ground stations are in Gazipur and the secondary is located in Rangamati.

Starting from Tuesday 12th clearing championship bilateral international male football competition begins in Bangladesh. It will continue until September 15. Source: BSS
